I've become lost
In my sundered reflection

The line of desperation

The shadows are always lurking

The blinding fear is consuming

I'm beyond weak

I don't want to be afraid anymore
Let me bleed

This is the only way out
A perfect exit for a coward

No longer am I bound
I couldn't survive my dark

Society told me the world is black and white
I didn't want to believe it
Because I want something more than a narrow minded life
I need something different

Feeling as if I was truly alone in this world
It's hard to keep believing
Feeling as if I no longer could move forward
It's difficult to keep breathing

I'm stuck between the realms of discrimination and belief
I had to lock away my tears in a prison
For I am the only one who can keep my resolve safe
But I'm such a fragile person

I can't endure this anymore

I'm going to black out
And be transported to a realm
Where my screams don't make a sound
Hate keeps me bound while I leave my fears to drown

I loath the days without rest
I despise the nights of endless stress

Though I can't settle for anything less
Because lower than this is death

It's like living and sleeping within tortuous realities
Even though I'm unconscious- there is no such thing as rest for me

No one knows how powerful my dreams can be
No one knows all of the graphic images I've seen

Misery's GardenMisery's Garden:

Through the cold ice we trekked, the Reaper and I.
His face an ever-shifting grin, oscillating between joy and malice...

With quick, light-footed steps, he lead me to a warm green meadow.
A small hut in the distance, a little garden beside.
Where a hunchbacked man, covered in boils and open wounds;
Bearing a crooked jaw and gnarled hands, tilled the earth.

"Egh yew ooh wha gu wan!"

I was so startled by the hunchback's sudden outburst,
That I jumped and gripped the Reaper's cloak in fright,
Yet as soon as he had seen me, the hunchback's eyes glazed over;
He appeared to forget about our presence...

I had to admit, I was ve

Dark chocolate & espresso
with Bic ink you're dust.
My stomach & your brain
makes dawn a twilight red dusk.

A couple of words
describe us two.
Two words:
me & you.

Get the drift? Feel that draft?
That's an ozone aroma, a prelude to rain.
Nature's craft is my gift
and my gift is just a game.

I don't know how you feel now but if you'll have some dark chocolate and espresso with me we'll probably feel the same.

Whatever that's worth.

Amongst the ashes, swirling from the darkness of the pit,

Emerged a hand, dragging a battered body across the rocks.

Blood leaked from the wounds so callously self-inflicted,

And teeth ground with a focused determination and seething anger.

It cared not for the warm rubies - staining the jagged rocks,

It cared not for the sensation of pain...

All that it remembered was a dream, An obsession -

One that drove it ever higher; ignoring all else!

Eventually it emerged from this shadowy hole, this dreary depth,

And in that moment, it learned of the truth.

For this creature, denied sunlight and warmth -

I can feel something envelop me
Breaking my skin; I'm letting it free

I find its getting harder to relate
I keep watching someone make the same mistakes
I feel like any moment I will break
Watching scenes that seem so fake

Like a broken record spinning in circles
I can't seem to get over these hurdles
But the scenes I'm watching; I'm not to blame
This really is a sadistic game

soaked in blood like bathwater—

like I was atop a mountain—

only I was in my room

Cascading glares swim around my whole body
Searching for some kind of flaw that I might have
But they don't realize that my life is the problem entirely
I can hardly keep on hiding all of the imperfections I secretly grasp

Denial is simple / If you say so
Pretending is impossible / I can't let you know

So I no longer speak for myself
No, not anymore
I feel that I deserve this hell
My pure torture

I'm just too snared by the knives in my back
No one wanted to accept me for who I really was
That's why I had no choice but to put up this wounded act
But I guess that's what the feeling of losing everybody do

Nightmare: The Tragic Lover

In the silence
I can hear the lyrics
Of my mind's awareness

You're hidden from the world
Only to be known by me

My fate is foretold
You're the end that I wait to see
-
_{The remnants of rust consume
The taint covering my heart seeps through
I am dying from a cancer that was caused by you

All it took was a wound
From the kiss that would seal it soon
I just wish that I could take you down too

From something so blissful / Bore a mask of deceit
I remain so resentful / I don't know what to believe

A being that could damage / A feeling that could heal
You pushed me over the edge / You made me wish it was real

I find myself pathetic
That you were just an anesthetic
I used you until you fulfilled your purpose

Now I don't know who the real monster is
What have we really become of this?
One whose heartless and the other is painless}

These dark mirrors
Are the protective barriers
Of the true lies of one another

You were my angelic desire
A hope that I held dearly

You were a demon that could devour

I personally love this piece, I am not the poem lover type but the mystery and how it manages to tie itself together in the end amazes me. I love the use of reference to how the lover is a numbing source from something that I would have liked to be described such as maybe an event or time that was particularly depressing. Perhaps more insight to the reason the lover was important. The way this poem was put together and was directed so that you were given a very brief description then went into detail and finally concluded into an ending is something I appreciate. Overall the entire poem was done exceptionally well.
